I am considering having a customized course made, but how does that work?

I saw at a friend's place who works at XXXX that you have created several courses specifically for them in the field of NEN 3140 and NEN 3840 online, and they are very satisfied with them. He showed it to me, and I must say it looks very professional. We are also considering this, but can you explain how it works and what it approximately costs? For us, it should primarily focus on VP NEN 3840 and also NEN 3140 for activities in the petrochemical industry, so perhaps incorporating some ATEX. And then in Dutch and English.

Answer

That's great to hear, and for setting up a customized course, we don't start from scratch because in the 35 years we've been operating, we have countless courses on the shelf. I would then set something up for you, indeed with a touch of ATEX, because you also deal with inspections and Permit to Work, etc. If you can send some photos and work instructions, an example appointment letter, and procedures in these areas, we can set up a draft in about a solid day. Then we will email you the draft so we can ensure the structure is correct. After that, we'll make an appointment to take photos and videos of specific areas, and I'll bring the i-safe ATEX phone, just in case.

After that, we'll lock ourselves away again and further develop the concept, placing it behind the company login we create for you. We'll then send you a link so you can see what it will look like, and we can fine-tune it further. Subsequently, we'll set up the test and send you a link for it. You can then test whether the content is okay, and we'll configure which mailbox the certificates (after passing the test) should be sent to.

Including a visit, this preparation often takes several days of work. We will charge these costs, and then you pay the normal rate per participant as stated in the courses on the site.

If you can roughly provide the number of participants, we will first prepare a quote. This is usually made up of the hours required for preparation and realization, and an amount per participant, which is roughly equivalent to the individual course prices.

So, you should think along those lines.

Otherwise, let's arrange a no-obligation meeting, then I can show you something, and we can discuss it.

Below is a screenshot of what such a learning environment can look like. This is an English NEN 3840 / ENSR training. For them, 80% will do the training online, and 20% will come to the classroom. Their preference was to create one course but with two different tests for VP and IV-WV.
